Felipe “Balboa” Portela

Professor Felipe “Balboa” Portela is a third degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Carlos Inocente, and the founder of Pure Life Martial Arts in Indialantic, Florida.

He fought professionally at 10-2, four of those wins by submission, and competed on The Ultimate Fighter season 21 and at Strikeforce Challengers 19.

In June 2010, both men unbeaten at 2-0, he submitted Vicente Luque at Capital Fight. Luque is now among the top-ranked welterweights in the UFC.
